When I first started my own company, I struggled to access funding like many other founders. However, through my network and the support of a local businessman who saw my drive and tenacity, I was able to get my company off the ground. The following year, I completed a management buyout of the firm and became its sole shareholder.

My journey as an entrepreneur began long before this, however. As a talented student, I initially wanted to become a barrister but decided to pursue more hands-on work experience. Starting in a low-level admin job, I worked hard and sought out opportunities, eventually running several depots at a steel firm. It was this experience that inspired me to pursue entrepreneurship.

Looking back on my career, I am passionate about ensuring that the business world becomes an environment in which all women can thrive. I believe that collaboration between female entrepreneurs is crucial to success, and I am committed to helping women in business fully embrace cooperation and collaboration.
